Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the signs and symptoms of various types of thyroid diseases and abnormalities that would be an indication for further medical evaluation
  • Discuss the interpretation of the results of thyroid function tests and images and how these results would be indications for further evaluation and/or therapeutic interventions
  • Describe the usual course of treatments for the various of thyroid conditions and diseases discussed so as to effectively and efficiently monitor treatments and/or coordinate therapy with consultative specialty providers
